Message!Products History

Founded in 1985 by a forward-thinking business woman, Message!Products was created with one primary goal: to help nonprofit organizations spread their important messages. The program was designed with the needs of nonprofits in mind: a need for excellence, low maintenance, and exceptional service.
That goal has not changed. We are now called Message!Products, to reflect our diversification into other products and services. In 1994, we began a journey into the research and development of environmentally unique products. Today, we offer a variety of hemp and cotton checkbook covers and many other check related accessories.
Message!Products was the first company to move the bank checks into the national mail order market. Our product was quickly dubbed "Money with a conscience." Since then, the mail order check has become commonplace, with competitor organizations undercutting manufacturer prices.
Our Message!Checks are designed to reflect the identity and integrity of the representative organization. The checks are printed on recycled paper (20% post-consumer) with vegetable based inks. Our products are environmentally unique, utilizing recycled fibers, soy and hemp.
Not only is the customer provided with a high-quality product, but the power to use their "consumerism" to benefit an issue they care about.
We provide a national public relations campaign for the participating organization. Each check is viewed by up to 16 people as it passes through the Federal Reserve System. The most common request for information we receive is from people who saw our check somewhere - in the grocery store, at a bank, or from a friend. The checks provide a means of expression and identification, both for check users and for the organization they support.
The organizations featured on the Message!Products website receive compensation for the use of their logos and trademarks.

Our mission has not changed. Message!Products now works with over 100 non-profit organizations, producing checks and related products that reflect the identity and integrity of the representative organization.
